These models are provided without warranty, specifications are subject to change. The included models are designed to work with Mentor Graphics(R) Flotherm and have been tested on version 9.2 only.

These models are designed to scale with varying power numbers up to 35 watts

It is the responsibility of the end user of these files and application hardware to assure that each device does not exceed the allowable thermal conditions established and documented within each respected application note or data manual.

When no data manual exists, the maximum allowable junction temperature shall (under no condition) exceed 100C, failure to comply with this requirement will reduce device reliability and void any device warranty. 

The models provided include the Delphi odel, the standard 2R model and the enhanced 2R model. The standard 2R model is two resistor model based on the junction-to-board (theta-jb) and the junnction to case (theta-jc) parameters provided in the data manual. This model is only accurate for devices with a quasi-isothermal package top and is not accurate for the flip chip package used for KeyStone II devices. The enhanced 2R model uses the TI defined gamma-jc in place of theta-jc to provide more accurate results for the flip chip package. The standard 2R model is provided for reference only and should not be used.

2R models are only valid for a rough estimate of the thermal solution. Final solutions should be created using the Delphi model for best results.

The following common values are noted and for reference purposes only for the 66AK2Ex and AM5K2Ex (and other models listed below) DSP model.
