Why choose our DLP display technology?
Display on any surface
DLP microdisplays with great contrast enable on-demand free-form display applications and brings colorful and crisp images to virtually any surface.
Excellent image quality
The fast speed of the micromirrors sets DLP display technology apart and is at the heart of what delivers high resolution, as well as bright, colorful, crisp pictures and text.
Wide range of solutions
The flexibility of DLP technology helps projection products span a multitude of resolutions, brightness levels, screen sizes, and price points to meet consumers’ diverse needs.
Step by step: getting started with DLP display technology
Numerous solutions using DLP technology
Innovation is always on the horizon. What would you like to create?
You'll find DLP display technology in laser televisions, smartphone projectors, industrial machines, augmented reality glasses and smart home systems. Our high-performance flexible chipsets enable maximum brightness of up to 60,000 lumens at a range from QnHD to 4K ultra-high-definition resolution to support diverse design needs.
What to consider when choosing a chipset
A chipset consists of two main components: a digital micromirror device and a controller. Most chipsets also use a power-management integrated circuit (PMIC). Depending on the power needed, a chipset may have various PMICs.
When selecting a chipset, the most important factors to consider are brightness, resolution and form factor. Use the image on the right to help guide your decision.
Getting started with development
After selecting a chipset, follow these steps to begin putting your system together:
- Consider the brightness requirements and trade-offs when designing your display projection.
- Purchase an evaluation module (EVM) to begin evaluating and testing your design.
- Pair the EVM with our firmware to diagnose your chipset or resolve any issues.
- Use our search tool to select the optical module makers and system integrators that best fit your optical module specifications.
