The Bluetooth Channel Sounding feature extends Bluetooth wireless technology-based ranging beyond the supported capabilities for received signal strength indication— this enables high-accuracy, low-cost and secure ranging designs.

Bluetooth Channel Sounding technology uses phase-based ranging to enhance accuracy and the round-trip time of random modulated data packets to enhance security.
