Overview
The AFE8190EVM is used to evaluate the AFE8190 integrated RF sampling transceiver. The AFE8190 device supports up to 16 transmit, 16 receive and four feedback channels. The device integrates the phase-locked loop (PLL) and voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) for generating data converter clocks.
Features
- LMK04828 clock generator IC to provide reference clocks and SYSREF to the analog front end (AFE) and capture card (field-programmable gate array, FPGA)
- SMA port to connect a clock input and synchronize the LMK frequencies to an external reference from instruments like signal generators and spectrum analyzers
- External clocking options for external reference clock signal support for the on-chip PLL
