AUDIO-AM62D-EVM
Overview
The AUDIO-AM62D-EVM evaluation module (EVM) is a low-cost expandable platform designed for developers to prototype and evaluate multi-channel audio applications across various use cases. At the core of AUDIO-AM62D-EVM is the AM62D System-on-Chip (SoC), featuring a C7x DSP 256 bit-width vector core tightly coupled with Matrix Multiplication Accelerator (MMA), single-cycle accessible 1.25MB of L2 memory, Quad-Core Arm®-Cortex® A53 microprocessor, Dual-core Arm Cortex-R5F MCU and a LPDDR4 32-bit controller, all protected by automotive-grade security hardware module. C7x and MMA together forms 2 tera-operations-per-second (2 TOPS) NPU accelerator. It is an excellent choice for developing high-performance automotive premium amplifier audio applications with DSP interfacing to DDR.
The AUDIO-AM62D-EVM includes multiple audio Jacks and expansion connectors for high-performance DSP processing, two Gigabit Ethernet expansion connectors, two USB type-C ports, CAN-FD and other interfaces to facilitate easy prototyping. Additionally, it features two on-board temperature sensors for monitoring SoC and LPDDR4 thermal conditions.
The Processor SDK AM62D software development kit (SDK) supports FreeRTOS-based audio application development. The included USB cable paired and embedded emulation logic enable seamless emulation and debugging of the software using standard development tools such as Code Composer Studio™ (CCSTUDIO).
