The SENCITY THIS-III-U from HUBER+SUHNER is a 77GHz 3D metallized plastic waveguide radar antenna designed for RF substrate-independent radar systems. Featuring a launch-on-package (LOP) interface, this antenna supports high-density 16×16 channel configurations through two cascaded 8TX/8RX radar devices, enabling compact, high-resolution imaging radar designs.

 

Covering the full automotive 77GHz band (76–81GHz), the THIS-III-U antenna delivers a controlled radiation pattern, high isolation, and robust RF performance in a compact footprint of less than 280mm². Its design reduces MMIC package size while maintaining strong transmit power and receiver sensitivity, even with larger assembly tolerances.

 

This antenna is optimized for use with our AWR2188 radar sensor and is well suited for advanced automotive and industrial radar applications requiring scalable channel density, precise angular resolution, and reliable performance in demanding environments.
