mmWave diagnostic and monitoring reference design for high-end corner radars

TIDEP-01030

Design files

Overview

This reference design features a built-in autonomous monitoring functionality in the mmWave radar sensors that enhances system efficiency by minimizing the processing load on the host. This design uses Safety Diagnostic Library (SDL) to perform a diagnostic test at programmable digital cores, peripherals, and memories. The design also configures and enables RF and analog monitor features of different hardware components. By assisting the user to implement their Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL B) and Safety Integrity Level (SIL 2) compliant products with the various safety resources, this reference design speeds up overall development time and time to market.

Features
  • Demonstrates the usage of built-in diagnostic and monitor features of mmWave radar sensors to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Use of safety resources to build ASIL B and SIL 2 mmWave sensors across different devices and applications to make system implementation efficient.
  • Based on proven EVM hardware designs enabling quicker time-to-market.
