This power-supply design describes the optimized power management IC (PMIC) to power the AM65x processor. The user’s guide describes a power distribution network (PDN) using a TPS6594-Q1 device to supply the AM65x processor with independent MCU and Main power rails. This PDN enables board level isolation of the MCU safety island and main voltage resources as required for implementing two desirable features of the processor.
A fully assembled board has been developed for testing and performance validation only, and is not available for sale.
