The INA183 is a high-precision voltage-output, current-shunt monitor (also called current-sense amplifier) commonly used for overcurrent protection, precision-current measurement for system optimization, or in closed-loop feedback circuits. This device can sense drops across shunt resistors at common-mode voltages from 2.7 V to 26 V. Three fixed gains are available: 50 V/V, 100 V/V, and 200 V/V. The low offset of the zero-drift architecture enables current sensing with maximum drops across the shunt as low as 10-mV full-scale.

This device operates by drawing power from the IN+ pin drawing a maximum of 130 µA of supply current. All versions are specified from –40 °C to 125 °C and are offered in the 5-pin SOT-23 package.

Evaluation board

INA183EVM — INA183 current sense amplifier evaluation module

The INA183EVM consists of one printed circuit board (PCB) with an option to cut out three individual PCBs.

Each PCB cutout consists of the INA183Ax device (where Ax is A1, A2, and A3 for boards one through three) as well as test points for probing and hardware connections.
