TIDA-01486
Ultrasonic Flow Transmitter Reference Design
TIDA-01486
Overview
This reference design features an ultrasonic flow transmitter that is able to measure water flow in the large pipes used in the process industry. The reference design can drive four different Piezo transducers with up to 2 MHz ±12-V pulses and amplify the ultrasonic signal received from these up to 50 dB.
The reference design leverages the MSP430FR6047 microcontroller (MCU) which offers an integrated Ultrasonic Sensing Solution (USS) module with highspeed ADC-based signal acquisition followed by an optimized digital-signal processing using the integrated Low-Energy Accelerator (LEA) module to deliver a high-accuracy metering solution with ultra-low power.
Features
- Able to drive 4 piezo transducers (2 MHz, up to ±12 V)
- up to 50-dB gain
- High-speed ADC-based signal acquisition
- High accuracy: 50ps ZFD
Industrial
A fully assembled board has been developed for testing and performance validation only, and is not available for sale.
