Overview
The BQ27Z561-R2-DEVICE-FW is a firmware (FW) release that can be flashed onto any existing hardware such as the BQ27Z561 or BQ27Z561-R1 product. The firmware incorporates the patented Impedance Track™ technology to create a pack-based solution that provides a rich array of features for gas gauging, protection, and authentication for 1-series cell li-ion and li-polymer battery packs.
Using its integrated high-performance analog peripherals, the BQ27Z561-R2-DEVICE-FW firmware enables the device and measures and maintains an accurate record of available capacity, voltage, current, temperature, and other critical parameters in li-ion or li-polymer batteries, and reports this information to the system host controller.
SHA-2 authentication, with secure memory for authentication keys, enables identification of genuine battery packs.

Overview
SingleCellbqProduction offers a full suite of robust tools to assist with the process of configuring, calibrating, manufacturing and tracking printed circuit boards utilizing TI Battery Battery management products. This includes features that allow writing a golden image followed by different types of calibration to provide desired levels of accuracy and finally validating limits for calibration parameters to spike out any inconsistencies in material. SingleCellbqProduction offers three(3) levels of access to allow strict control over the manufacturing process with the assembly line operator only having access to the "Start" button. SingleCellbqProduction supports 1 station from a single computer and has inbuilt capability to maintain log files for the processed printed circuits boards. The bqMTester hardware is incompatible with some single cell gauges.

Requires: MKST-3P-ALT-EV2300 (MKS-SAI-001), Precision voltage and current source/sink for calibration.

Description:
BQ-BATTERY-PROGRAMMER-SW software development kit (SDK) is a collection of robust software command line tools that assist with the process of programming, testing, or assembling packs that use TI Battery management products. The executables in this software work with the MKST-3P-ALT-EV2300 MKS Technology alternative for EV2300 communications transceiver. The executables work with a single station but can be extended to multiple stations by using additional software and GUI from MKS Technology Inc. . Support for multiple stations is not included in this software.
There are multiple executables in the download, usually one per family of products. Older products such as BQ20xxx and BQ30xxx are also supported. Examples using the C++ programming language API and Python® programming language are provided for custom development.

Getting started:
1. Download the software
2. Run the installer
3. The executables, C API and Python API files can be found in the install location
4. Run the command line executable without arguments to get usage help. Refer to Readme.txt in the install folder for more information and how to get help using the command line.
