Overview

This 6.6 kW, bi-directional, dual-active-bridge resonant converter reference design allows 380 VDC to 600 VDC input and 280 VDC to 450 VDC output. PCB winding transformer and Rogowski coil synchronous rectifier (SR) control are applied in this design for power density and efficiency optimization. A daughter card approach is implemented in this design including a C2000™ controller (TMDSCNCD280049C), SiC drivers (PMP22001 and PMP22002) and bias supply (PMP22003). With 500-kHz resonant frequency and 300-kHz ~ 700-kHz operational frequencies, this design is able to reach peak 98% efficiency.
