The TPS7H5101 is a dual phase D-CAP+ buck
controller. The controller is optimized for high current, point of load power
delivery due to the advanced control features of the D-CAP+ architecture which
support a fast transient response with low output capacitance and high
efficiency. The output capacitance can further be minimized through both
the use of droop regulation and by utilizing the configurable undershoot reduction
(USR) feature.
Single or dual phase operation is
possible with a single controller, thereby enabling power stage optimization for
different current levels.
Multiple configuration options are
possible with this controller. PMBus provides the option to enable or disable
the controller along with dynamically change the output voltage ±10% (voltage
margining). Additional features include differential remote sensing for accurate
voltage regulation and configurable compensation for an optimized control
loop.
